Capital increase with renowned investors from the tech, private equity and real estate sectors | Strengthening of equity for further scaling and internationalization of the investment platform
LINUS Digital Finance has reached another milestone in accelerating its growth and has taken on external investors for the first time. As part of a capital increase in which well-known new investors participated, the FinTech received an amount in the double-digit millions. This capital increase was recently completed after the conversion into a stock corporation. The strategic strengthening of the equity base primarily serves the further scaling of the digital investment platform as well as the international expansion on the investor and investment side.
The proceeds from the issue are to be used in particular for the expansion of the technical infrastructure, as well as marketing and internationalisation. After LINUS 2020 has established a branch in the UK, further financing markets in Europe are to be developed in the near future. In parallel, the marketing team has been attracting new investors for the digital investment platform throughout the eurozone since the beginning of 2021. At the same time, the team is constantly expanding the company's digital and technical infrastructure in order to provide investors with a simple, digital investment process, to ensure the secure and scalable processing and settlement of investment projects and to launch new products on the market.
Investors from the tech, private equity and real estate industries participated in the capital increase. "Our investors thus reflect the interface at which we have always operated and feel most comfortable: as a FinTech specialising in real estate private debt & equity," says David Neuhoff, founder and CEO of LINUS Digital Finance AG.
COO Dominik Pederzani adds, "We are always on the lookout for the best tech talent. In recent months, we've been able to attract product managers and software developers from the best-known European FinTechs, and together with the growing team, we're driving further technical scaling."
"We see our growth strategy confirmed by the composition and trust of the new investors. The diversification of the investor base that this entails is an important milestone and also puts us in an optimal position for future growth investments," adds Frederic Olbert, CFO of LINUS Digital Finance AG.
LINUS Digital Finance AG, founded in 2016 in Berlin as LINUS GmbH, offers professional and semi-professional investors access to investments in curated institutional real estate financing. This is made possible by the digital investment platform developed in-house, with which the FinTech can leverage significant economies of scale. With this approach, LINUS is a pioneer in Germany and is pursuing a dynamic growth course. In total, LINUS plans to raise more than €1 billion from co-investors in the medium term.
